will dr scholls help with shin splints?

Insoles will they give me the arch support need to no longer get the pain ive been suffering when play basketball so bought some dr scholls massaging gel sport insoles will they give me the pain has anyone tried them.

   there is only one thing that will help with shin splints..

   ICE & IBUPROFEN!
   every day 3 times a day

   The gel inserts for added cushioning and they are not sure what it cannot.

   The ibuprophen it helps relieve inflammation am no dr but would help more.
